Complete the Online Application

Start by filling out our online application form to register your child.

Tip: You will receive your unique Payer ID and banking details from us.

Pay Application & First Month Fees

Submit the non-refundable application fee and first-month school fees.

*Within 7 days, you may apply for a refund of the first month's fee

Receive Your Confirmation Email

You'll soon receive a confirmation email welcoming your child to SPARK Schools.

Required documentation
Proof of Residence

Proof of residence for the primary caregiver.

Immunization Certificate

For the future SPARK scholar (Name of child must be clearly visible on the copy that you send to us).

Current Report Card

For the future SPARK scholar. Transfer card needs to be submitted when your child starts at SPARK Schools.

Proof of Income

Either the account payer’s most recent payslip OR 3 month’s bank statements.

Unabridged Birth Certificate

For the future SPARK scholar (OR Abridged birth certificate as well as a copy of the receipt for your unabridged birth certificate).

Identity Document

A certified copy of the primary caregiver’s identity document.

Parent Contract

A signed copy of the parent enrolment contract including primary caregiver’s initials on every page of the contract as well as student, parent and payee details.

Non-Citizens

Non-citizens will be admitted to the school provided that parents are in the possession of a temporary or permanent residence permit and the scholar must have a study permit.  A certified copy of the original permit must be submitted with the application.

Can I pay the first month’s fee on the 1st of January?
Your child’s enrolment will not be secure until we receive the application fee and the first month’s tuition. Enrolment is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
What can my child have for lunch?
“ Why is it important for scholars to eat healthily?”, you might ask.

Research has shown that children are able to learn better when they’re well-nourished, and eating healthy meals has been linked to higher marks, improved memory and alertness, and faster information processing. Therefore we encourage our parents to partner with us to provide our scholars with healthy food to fuel their learning.Please see the list at the top of this page for a suggested list of healthy lunches and snacks. The list is not exhaustive, so please check with your scholar’s school if you are unsure of what to pack for daily snack and lunch.
How old must a child be to enrol for Grade R and Grade 1?
At SPARK Schools Grade R scholars must be turning 5 years old by 30 June of that year to be enrolled.Grade 1 scholars must be turning 6 years old by 30 June of that year to be enrolled.
Where can I buy the SPARK uniform?
The SPARK Schools uniform has been designed to be affordable and versatile. Many of the items can be worn outside of school as well.

Students should carry a backpack that does NOT have wheels but has sufficient space for a homework folder, water bottle, and lunch box.
Do you have any aftercare or after-school enrichment opportunities?
Aftercare is available from dismissal until 5:30 pm five days a week (Monday-Friday) during the school terms.
Do you offer a holiday program during term break?
SPARK Schools does not offer holiday care over term break or public holidays.  Please review the instructional calendar to plan care for your child accordingly.

Where will SPARK Schools open schools in future?
Our vision at SPARK Schools is to open new schools each year throughout South Africa. Please keep following us on our website or Facebook page for updates on where new schools will open each year. Unfortunately, SPARK Schools is not a franchise, as schools are opened and operated centrally by our Support office.
How do I organise a tour of SPARK Schools?
If you are a prospective parent interested in viewing our model in action, we invite you to arrange directly with the school closest to you to take a tour during our school hours.

Does SPARK Schools offer bursaries?
Unfortunately, SPARK Schools do not offer any bursaries.
When are the school's Open Days?
All SPARK Schools will host Open Days at different points in the year. The SPARK Schools Open Day are an opportunity to find out more about why you should enrol your child in our dynamic, fun and high-quality schools. You will be able to engage with school leaders, teachers and current parents to understand the innovative academic offering at all SPARK schools.

What First Additional Languages does SPARK offer?
All​ ​SPARK​ ​Schools​ ​are​ ​English-medium​ ​schools. and we offer​ ​a​ ​first​ ​additional language,​ which is ​from​ ​Grade​ ​R. The​ ​first additional​ ​language​ ​offered​ ​in​ ​our Gauteng schools​ ​is​ ​isiZulu The​ ​first​ ​additional language​ ​offered​ ​in​ ​our​ ​Western​ ​Cape​ school ​is​ ​isiXhosa.

What is the capacity of our class sizes?
SPARK Schools offers a personalised learning model of education. This model ensures that each scholar receives the academic attention that they require as an individual through one-on-one and small group learning during the school day.

In our grades, we have no more than 32 scholars; however, each is receiving the academic attention they require. Read more about our Primary School Model or our High School Model.
Does SPARK offer extramural activities?
All SPARK schools do offer extra-mural activities. These are not included in the fees. Kindly contact your SPARK school directly to enquire about this.
