We can only confirm a child’s enrolment when we receive both the application fee and first month’s fee. Your child’s enrolment will not be secure until we receive both fees, and enrolment is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If both fees have not been paid, your child’s space at SPARK may be given away.
“ Why is it important for scholars to eat healthily?”, you might ask.
Research has shown that children are able to learn better when they’re well-nourished and eating healthy meals has been linked to higher marks, improved memory and alertness, and faster information processing. Therefore we encourage our parents to partner with us to provide our scholars with healthy food to fuel their learning.
Please see the Lunch guideline at the top of the page for a suggested list of healthy lunches and snacks. The list is not exhaustive, so please check with your
scholar’s school if you are unsure of what to pack for daily snack and lunch.

High School Study Hall
Study hall is a supervised homework and revision facility. Supervision is carried out by non-teaching staff, so the facility does not offer guided support in homework and revision completion. Essentially scholars work independently completing work from everyday school lessons.
Study hall runs from your child’s dismissal until 5:30 pm five days a week.
SPARK Schools does not offer holiday care over term break or public holidays. Please review the instructional calendar to plan care for your child accordingly.
Our vision at SPARK Schools is to open new schools each year throughout South Africa. Please keep following us on our website or Facebook page for updates on where new schools will open each year. Unfortunately, SPARK Schools is not a franchise, as schools are opened and operated centrally by our Support office.
If you are a prospective parent interested in viewing our model in action, we invite you to arrange directly with the school closest to you to take a tour during our school hours. You can view our schools’ contact details on our Contact Us page.
If you are an educator or external guest interested in a school tour, please e-mail our Marketing department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately, SPARK Schools do not offer any bursaries.
All SPARK Schools are English-medium schools. and we offer a first additional language, which is mandatory at our high school. The first additional language offered in our Gauteng High School is isiZulu.
We believe our first additional languages go a long way in preparing SPARK scholars for South Africa’s diverse society and economy. Read more on our blog.
SPARK Schools offers a personalised learning model of education. This model ensures that each scholar receives the academic attention that they require as an individual through one-on-one and small group learning during the school day. In the Grade R classes we have no more than 25 scholars, and in Grade 1 and upwards we have no more than 32 scholars however each of these scholars are receiving the academic attention that they require. Please read more about our Learning Model here.
